What the Time Is Spent On

Installing is not activating. At the end of these two minutes the eSIM is on the phone and the plan is still Pending, which is exactly right — it starts when you arrive.
When It Takes Longer
- A weak or busy Wi-Fi connection — hotel and airport networks are the usual culprits
- An older phone, which takes longer to write the profile
- A phone that already holds many profiles
If the download stalls, do not cancel and rescan immediately. Wait for it to fail on its own, restart the phone, and try again on a better connection — a half-written profile is harder to clear than a failed one.
Do it at home the evening before you fly. Airport Wi-Fi is the worst connection of the trip and the worst moment to discover a problem
