A plan cannot be handed over once it is bought, because it is issued to one eSIM profile on one device. A gift card has no such tie: it is value, spendable on anything on the site.

A balance can be spent across several purchases until it runs out, and if a plan costs more than the balance, the difference is paid normally at checkout.
