No to both — a plan cannot be frozen part-way through, and it cannot be handed to another person or another eSIM. Once it is running, it runs to the end
The validity period is set by the local network when the plan activates, and there is no mechanism anywhere in the chain to stop that clock and restart it later. The same applies to moving a plan: it is bound to the eSIM profile it was issued for.
What Is Not Possible
- Pausing an active plan for the middle week of a trip
- Moving a running plan to another eSIM or another person
- Reclaiming data or days left over when the plan ends
- Extending validity without buying a new plan
What Is Possible
- Buying ahead without cost. A plan that has never activated is not counting anything — you can buy weeks early and install at home
- Queuing a plan for later. Several plans can sit on one eSIM and start in turn
- Buying a plan as a gift. Before purchase, a gift card can go to anyone. After purchase, the plan is bound to the eSIM
For a trip with a gap in the middle — a week here, a fortnight elsewhere, then back — buy two plans rather than one long one. The second sits Pending, costing nothing, until you return.
Refunds are a separate question with its own rules, including the situations where a refund is available. See Can I Get a Refund? and the full Refund Policy
