    Using Your eSIM

Can I Reinstall the Same eSIM?

Usually not — most QR codes install once and refuse a second attempt. Treat deleting an eSIM as permanent unless you have confirmed otherwise

The code points to a profile held on a server, and that profile is released to one device. Once it has been claimed, the server has nothing left to hand out, which is why a second scan returns an error rather than a fresh copy.

    What to Try

    1. On an iPhone, check Settings › Mobile Data for a recently deleted plan that can be restored — some iOS versions offer this briefly
    2. Try the original QR code once; if it reports that the code is no longer valid, it has been used
    3. Contact support with your order number before buying a replacement — where a reissue is possible, we can arrange it

Do not buy a second plan straight away. If the eSIM was deleted with data still on it, a reissue may be possible, and support can tell you in a few minutes.

    Why It Works This Way

A profile that could be installed repeatedly could be installed on any number of phones from one purchase. The single-use rule is what makes a QR code worth something — and why it should not be shared.

The way to never need this: switch the line off instead of deleting it. It stops the eSIM doing anything, keeps it reinstallable-by-not-being-uninstalled, and takes one tap — see How do I Turn My eSIM Off Without Deleting It?
