The profile is removed from your phone and usually cannot be put back — any plan on it goes too, and neither the data nor the money is recoverable
Deleting is the one action in the eSIM menus that is not reversible. It is worth being certain before confirming, because the phone asks in the same tone it asks about everything else.
What Is Lost
- The profile, and its ability to connect
- Any remaining data on the plan it was carrying
- Any days left on that plan's validity
- In most cases, the ability to reinstall from the same QR code
Deleting is not refundable. A plan that worked and was deleted by mistake falls outside the Refund Policy, because nothing failed — see Can I Get a Refund?
What You Probably Wanted Instead
Switch It Off
Stops the line connecting, keeps the profile and the plan intact, and is reversible in one tap
Change the Data Line
If the problem is that the wrong line is carrying data, that is a separate setting — no deleting required
When Deleting Is Right
- The plan has fully expired and you have no use for the profile
- The phone has run out of space for new profiles
- You are selling or giving the phone away
Before selling a phone, delete every eSIM on it — a profile left behind is a working plan handed to a stranger
